25 miles north of Tours in the Loire Valley (France) are the appellations Coteaux du Loire and Jasnières, both appellations producing delicious dry white wines exclusively from Chenin Blanc. The wines are uber rare, and we think these are amongst the greatest white wines produced in the Loire Valley.
These are hand made wines in the extreme. Proprietor, Eric has established himself, however as the point of reference in this part of the valley and commands a serious and sincere domestic following, particularly among the Frances sommeliers.
Les Arches de Bellivière ‘Confluence’ has powerful aromas of honey, white flowers and white fruits. Crunchy, charming, and complex attack with a great minerality over a long and clean finish. Only a few bottles left… A must try for any lover of Chenin.
