2019 Anne & Jean-Francois Ganevat 'Poulprix' MAGNUM
A strange one this, produced by vinifying Beaujolais Gamay with other local grape varieties such as Poulsard and Savagnin from the Jura. All cultivated using organic principles, they are then vinified very naturally, partly in truncated cone vats and partly in amphorae. Native yeasts are used in the alcoholic fermentation, and the wine is bottled without fining, filtration or added sulphites. Touch of funk here but overwhelmingly bright!
