Els Vinyerons, is a partnership between friends Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz. Based in the Pendes region of Spain (Cava country), they're making low-fi wines with approachability, purity and value as the back bone. Saltamarti is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Grenache. Picked slightly earlier and made with low extraction, the wine is light, bright and delicious with a slight chill.
Ingredients: 100% Grapes.
That’s what the bottle says.
No sulphur or anything else.
This wine is an interesting, gripping blend of two grape varieties over two different vintages from the Penedes wine region, in Spain. The Tempranillo is from the 2018 vintage and Grenache, which is aged for one year in French oak is from the 2017 vintage!
The delicious blend came together in 2019 and here we have it, the Els Vinyerons Saltamarti!
Usually, if you think of Spanish Tempranillo, you’d think of a bigger wine, with tannin and colour that’ll coat your insides for weeks, but this Catalonian wine isn’t that. No stained teeth here.
This light, structured crispy red does a great job of being served lightly chilled with a wedge of manchego and some chips for yo’ lips.
