Born in Dijon to a non-winemaking family, Julien Sunier decided in his teens to pursue a career in wine. His interest was fostered by Christophe Roumier of Domaine Roumier, a highly regarded Burgundy estate.
In 2007 he purchased two hectares in Fleurie, Beaujolais - which he farmed organically from the outset. Today his domaine extends to a little over 5 hectares –, with holdings in Fleurie, Régnié and Morgon.
The grapes, from old vines, come from six different very complementary parcels on the climates "Charmes, Corcelette and Py," each located between 270 and 420 m altitude.
A generous and fleshy Morgon black cherries and spice, medium bodied with silky tannins.
