Albana is a grape variety grown almost exclusively in the Emilia-Romagna region of Central Northern Italy, Not entirely white, Albana’s grape clusters are somewhat golden-yellow in colour. Which leads to golden coloured wines. This dry example by Tre Monti (an estate started in the early 1970’s) is a ripping wine. Think nuts and fresh fruits like green apples, pineapples and peaches, an extremely versatile food wine.
